Such sad sorrowful faces! These very adorable vintage salt and pepper shakers are ceramic and accented with gold gild.
Items from the past were made so thoughtfully because here we have something that can be used as a useful table item but alternatively as a decorative display item. I estimate them to have been made in the 1960s. Unmarked but likely to have been made in Japan.
Measures approximately 3 1/4 inches tall, by 2 inches deep and 1/2 inches across.
They are in very good condition - no chips or cracks and the gilding is in good order.
