What a fantastic little book!

Hardcover - printed in 1992 by Hugh Lauter Levin Associates, Inc.  This macabre little book is fantastic for anyone interested in the history of medical achievements and is fantastically illustrated with beautiful artwork - from ancient to modern.

This "perpetual calendar" is never obsolete, because only the months and numerical dates are noted - there are no days or weeks associated with the dates. Includes a small space for notes on each date, an address/telephone number and notes section as well as the calendars for 1992-1999.  Also includes attached ribbon for marking your place.

Excerpt from Book:
"Historical medical events, both the profound and the anecdotal, are noted ... one for each day ... The Physician's Book of Days highlights some of the achievements in the history of medicine.  The advent of anesthesia and antisepsis, the development of specialized instruments, and the vast armamentarium of pharmaceutical treatments figure among the significant events in medicine through the ages."

In good condition - no writing, binding tight - the bottom right-hand corner is scuffed.

Disclaimer:  Many of the items sold are vintage or pre-loved. Quality of vintage items vary with the manufacturing methods available at the time of production. They are not made to current standards of manufacturing ... and in my opinion, that is usually a good thing! They tend to be higher quality, last longer and include more attention to detail than today's products. However, safety standards do change over time, items do deteriorate with age, and it is up to the customer to decide how they will use each product.
