Fantastically sweet little stoneware laughing rabbit wearing a pastel blue apron.

This little sweetie looks like a Pendelfin but the tag on the bottom of the figurine is incomplete.  Her name is "Floss" and I haven't been able to locate her among the numerous Pendelfins online.  Her tag partially reads "Hand ... (painted), Dinkle ... , "Floss", Copyright, Made in England".  There were a few other companies mimicking these rabbits, possibly Woodlands, but I can't find her among those makers either.

Pendelfin was a pottery company specializing in handcrafted and hand painted stonecraft and was based in Burnley, Lancashire, England. It got the name from a famous hill near Burnley called Pendle Hill which is famous for tales of witches and ghouls. The figurines had an "elfin" appearance so the name "Pendelfin" was born.

Measures approximately 3 1/2 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches across and deep.

She is in fantastic condition with no chips or cracks.  Paint is complete too.  (This is rare, as usually these vintage figurines have a little chip or missing paint here or there.)

Disclaimer:  Many of the items sold are vintage or pre-loved. Quality of vintage items vary with the manufacturing methods available at the time of production. They are not made to current standards of manufacturing ... and in my opinion, that is usually a good thing! They tend to be higher quality, last longer and include more attention to detail than today's products. However, safety standards do change over time, items do deteriorate with age, and it is up to the customer to decide how they will use each product.
