Simply one of the best book series ever written!
Bestsellers in the late 1970s / early 1980s. James Herriot's humourous autobiography of his life as a vet in North Yorkshire, England during the 1930s & 40s.
"The Lord God Made Them All" is the sequel to "All Things Wise and Wonderful". This is the softcover, 1981, Canadian version from Pan Books.
Back reads:
"Sheep may safely graze ... The war is over, the RAF uniform has been handed in and James Herriot goes back where he ought to be - at work in the dales around Darrowby. Much has changed, but the blunt-spoken Yorkshire folk and the host of four-legged patients are still the same. So is their vet, who doesn't yet know that literary success is just around the corner ..."
If you have never read any of James Herriot's books, you are in for a wonderful time! Warm, humourous, engaging and educational! A wonderful look at life in Yorkshire during the 1930s and 40s. You won't want to put it down until you're finished.
This book is in decent, readable condition. Spine is intact. There are no writing or tears. The cover is a bit banged up on the corners and there is a stamp on the inside front.
