Poor "Barney" - he's crying!
Vintage Pendelfin figurine.

Cute stoneware bunny rabbit crying while holding his baby blue blanket with white spots .. and black and white slippers! I think maybe, he doesn't want to go to bed.

Beautiful detail. Under gentle light you can actually see the gloss of tears in his eyes and on his lower lip.

Backstory:
Pendelfin was a pottery company specializing in handcrafted and hand painted stonecraft and was based in Burnley, Lancashire, England. The name comes from a hill near Burnley called Pendle Hill; which is famous for tales of witches and ghouls. The figurines had an "elfin" appearance and so the name "Pendelfin" was born.

Measures approximately 3 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches across and deep.

Good Condition with 2 small nicks in the paint on the ears (at the back).
This is extremely common with Pendelfin figurines.

Disclaimer: Many of the items sold are vintage or pre-loved. Quality of vintage items vary with the manufacturing methods available at the time of production. They are not made to current standards of manufacturing ... and in my opinion, that is usually a good thing! They tend to be higher quality, last longer and include more attention to detail than today's products. However, safety standards do change over time, items do deteriorate with age, and it is up to the customer to decide how they will use each product.
