"Clanger" - Vintage Pendelfin Rabbit Figurine.

This sweet bunny is clanging a large hand bell and wears a pink coat & cute black shoes. The bell has wonderful detail and is inscribed with "JWH" and "Made in England"; Jean Walmsley Heap being the artist who designed this piece.

Backstory:
Pendelfin was a pottery company specializing in handcrafted and hand painted stonecraft and was based in Burnley, Lancashire, England. The name comes from a hill near Burnley called Pendle Hill; which is famous for tales of witches and ghouls. The figurines had an "elfin" appearance and so the name "Pendelfin" was born.

Measures approximately 3 inches across x 4 inches tall x 2 1/2 inches deep (at widest points).

Good Condition.
There is a small chip in the paint at the bottom of the coat on the left side. And another chip just below it in the belly fur. A slight rub mark exists on the tail at the back of the figure. This is extremely common with Pendelfin figurines.

Disclaimer: Many items are vintage or pre-loved. Quality of vintage items varies with the manufacturing methods available at their time of production. They are not made to current standards & in my opinion, that is usually a good thing! They tend to be higher quality, last longer & include more attention to detail. However, safety standards change over time, items deteriorate with age & it is up to the customer to decide how they will use each item.
