Handpainted Goddess Pendant Necklace.
This clay pendant in the style of the Venus de Willendorf is very nicely made. Representing the Great Mother Goddess, she is made of clay and painted a light blue and glazed on the front & hangs on a black cloth cord. A wonderful veneration of the female shape.
Short background on the Venus of Willendorf:
The Venus of Willendorf is a prehistoric figurine which is thought to represent a fertility goddess, estimated to be approximately 25,000 to 30,000 years old, a famous example of Upper Paleolithic art.
Give yourself a boost of sympathetic fertility magic! As well as a lovely necklace, she could also be a nice piece for your magical altar or for those who have an interest in representations of ancient art & archaeological finds.
The pendant measures approximately 2 & 1/4 inches in length and 1 & 1/2 inches across (at widest point). The necklace cord is approximately 12 inches long.
