Jonathan Frid as Barnabas Collins, Dark Shadows
Picture

Excited to own the entire Dark Shadows series. Placed in the correct order, the spines of the DVDs form Barnabas Collins asleep in his cardboard coffin ...

Here we delve into the darker corners ...
Picture
Enter lovers of grim and ghoulish delights. The bell is tolling midnight ...

Maybe we'll take a spine tingling stroll through a groovy graveyard; or recoil at the hidden horrors in a dark fairy tale. We might spend some time to sympathize with a lonely ghost. Tune in for some night theatre featuring classic "B" movie horror; or have your breath taken away by the ghastly beauty of gothic architecture. It's all here when It's Midnight at the Grove ... where it's always a dark and stormy night!

City of the Dead (aka Horror Hotel)
"City of the Dead (aka Horror Hotel)", Starring Christopher Lee, Patricia Jessel, Betta St. John, Venetia Stevenson & Valentine Dyall, 1960
The mood never lets up in this supernatural American Gothic thriller! In its original black & white version, the ever present fog, dark shadows & oppressive (yet strangely enveloping) atmosphere in the town of Whitewood, keeps the viewer riveted on Nan Barlow's unfolding fate. Christopher Lee fans will love to see him in this role, despite his somewhat limited appearance & there is an incredibly touching performance by a 22 year old Ann Beach as the mute Lottie, who tries desperately to alert Nan to the danger that awaits her at the hour of 13 ... on Candlemas Eve.

Hauntingly Beautiful Graveyards

taphophile (Noun):  A person who is interested in cemeteries, funerals and gravestones.

I can't describe the otherworldly and peaceful feelings I gain by walking through the oldest parts of cemeteries. Sometimes I try to capture that feeling in a photograph.

Disclaimer: Many of the items sold are vintage or pre-loved. Quality of vintage items vary with the manufacturing methods available at the time of production. They are not made to current standards of manufacturing ... and in my opinion, that is usually a good thing! They tend to be higher quality, last longer and include more attention to detail than today's products. However, safety standards do change over time, items do deteriorate with age, and it is up to the customer to decide how they will use each product.
