These lovely antique Wedgwood & Co. Ltd. teacups and saucers are from the 1930s in the Kent design.  Featuring a cream coloured background and a beautiful yellow rose on the front and rosebuds around the back.  Gold gild trims the rim of the saucers, and the inside and outside rim of the teacups, along with the handles.

Made by Wedgwood & Co. Ltd.  All feature the very unique Unicorn back stamp and trademark number; the saucers also read "Kent" in gold lettering.

Teacup measures approximately 3 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches across (including handle).  Saucer measures approximately 6 3/4 inches round.

These teacups and saucers are in good physical condition - no chips or cracks.  There are some bumps in the glaze here and there which were part of the manufacturing process.  Lots of lovely crazing consistent with the age of these dishes.  The gold gild is excellent on the inner rim of the teacups - with moderate wear to the gold on the outside rim of the teacups.  The gold gild on the saucers show very minor wear.  There is a "flea bite" on one saucer.  Graphics on the both teacups and saucers are in very good condition.

Important Note:  There are 4 teacups and saucers available.  The listed price is for 1 teacup and saucer.  Please indicate quantity at checkout.

A little Wedgwood history:
Not to be confused with the famous Wedgwood company of Josiah Wedgwood & Sons (mostly associated with the blue & white or green & white jasperware pieces), Wedgwood & Co Ltd. was opened up by a distant relative who had the same surname.  He made quite a different line of tableware and decorative pieces than his famous relative.

Disclaimer: Many of the items sold are vintage or pre-loved. Quality of vintage items vary with the manufacturing methods available at the time of production. They are not made to current standards of manufacturing ... and in my opinion, that is usually a good thing! They tend to be higher quality, last longer and include more attention to detail than today's products. However, safety standards do change over time, items do deteriorate with age, and it is up to the customer to decide how they will use each product.
