Intriguing set of embroidered vintage doilies.

This vintage set of doilies consists of one large doily and 4 small doilies. I'm thinking perhaps it is to display a larger figurine and its companion miniature figurines? For example, a larger horse figurine, with miniature horses in various breeds. They are a stiff, durable linen cotton. I believe they are machine embroidered and probably from the 1970s or early 80s.

Save your furniture from scratches or use in a crafting project!

The large doily measures approximately 10 1/2 inches round and the smaller doilies measure 3 3/4 inches round.

The larger doily does have a little yellow spotting measuring approximately 1 1/4 inches (see picture). It is very hard to notice and I didn't notice it myself until I turned the light up in my light box and started to take photographs. It might come out with washing.

Disclaimer: Many of the items sold are vintage or pre-loved. Quality of vintage items vary with the manufacturing methods available at the time of production. They are not made to current standards of manufacturing ... and in my opinion, that is usually a good thing! They tend to be higher quality, last longer and include more attention to detail than today's products. However, safety standards do change over time, items do deteriorate with age, and it is up to the customer to decide how they will use each product.
