Vintage Viking Silver Plate Creamer & Sugar.
This lovely set features a line design circling the dishes and ornate handles. I am estimating that it was made in the 1950s or 1960s.
Marked "Viking Plate Made in Canada E.P. COPPER Lead Mounts"on the bottom.
Note: I am not an expert but my understanding is that "Lead Mounts" means that items of this sort either have a lead core plug (which works as a ballast to provide stability) or that the mounts (eg the handles) have a contained lead plug added inside for weight. It does not mean that silver plate is cast directly over the lead, merely that there is a contained lead "plug" inside for weight. It is not considered dangerous, since the lead is contained (usually within copper with the silver plate then over top).
Measures approximately: Creamer 4 3/4 inches across (including handle) by 3 inches depth and 2 1/4 inches tall; Sugar 5 1/2 inches across (including handles) by 3 inches depth and 2 1/4 inches tall.
Good Condition. There are a couple of worn spots on the bottoms but nothing out of the ordinary for their age.
