Vintage Vivah Abalone and Sterling Silver Shepherd's Hook Earrings.
These lovely, lightweight earrings are vintage from the 1990s and are still in their original box. They are drop earrings with shepherd's or "fish hooks" for pierced ears.
Abalone symbolizes peace, love and compassion.
Vivah utilizes sterling silver and semi-precious stones and, in addition to their regular stock, makes custom jewellery for special occasions. Quick research reveals that the jewellery is manufactured/assembled in Canada, with much of the material sourced from India. As such I think these earrings are genuine abalone with .925 sterling silver accents (Note: The silver shows a little tarnish. This can easily be cleaned, if desired, with a silver cloth. Do not immerse abalone or pearls in silver cleaner!)
